If you are experiencing an emergency please call 911.

The City of Longwood Fire/Rescue is a full-service fire department offering advanced life support, medical transport, fire suppression, and fire safety training.

In addition to emergency scene operations, the Fire Department is proactively engaged in emergency management planning, construction plans review, and on-site code and standard compliance through fire and life safety inspections. The City of Longwood Fire Department answers 4,000 annual emergency calls to a population of 50,000 citizens residing in a suburban/industrial community. To do so, the Fire Department operates out of 2 stations strategically located throughout the city to provide a maximum response in minimum time.

The City has 46 career fire employees who staff these 2 stations. The Longwood Fire/Rescue Department protects 6 square miles in the city limits and an additional 4 square miles with automatic aid responses from Seminole County and surrounding municipalities.
