SmartGov System Transition - SmartGov is now on-line!

The Community Development Division has transitioned to the new SmartGov permitting system.

Permitting With SmartGov

With our new system, you are able to:

  • Submit Building Permit and Planning applications, and soon Business Tax Receipt applications, and documents electronically from the convenience of your home or office
  • Pay online from anywhere
  • Track the progress of your application
  • Receive automatic alerts for any action taken on your application
  • Schedule inspections online

As we roll out this new system, we will be providing in-person and on-line training sessions to cover:

  • Setting up your account
  • Submitting permit applications and documents
  • Renewing your business tax receipt
  • Contractor registration
  • Making payments
  • Auto Alert functions
  • Tracking your permits and applications
