Specially Regulated Uses

The Longwood Development Code is where you'll find information about land use districts and what land uses are allowed in certain areas of the City, but, this page is intended to give you a shorthand guide to certain uses that have regulations specific to them that will require additional attention in the development process.

We recommend that anyone interesting in purchasing property or signing a lease consult with the Community Development Department before doing so, but in particular applicants seeking any of the below uses should review them thoroughly as there are use-specific requirements that may make a given site or unit difficult to utilize for these purposes.

  • Apartments (LDC 2.3.3)
  • Body Shop (LDC 5.4.3)
  • Car Wash (LDC 5.4.3)
  • Gas Stations (LDC 5.4.3)
  • Massage Therapy Establishments (LDC 5.4.13)
  • Medical Marijuana Dispensaries (LDC 5.4.25)*
  • Pharmacies (LDC 5.4.25)*
