[ARCHIVED] Temporary Signage Exceptions

Temporary Use Permit 03-20, which created exceptions to the standard permitting of temporary signage including wind feathers and banner signs, will expire on December 31st. Beginning on January 1st, temporary signage such as banners, wind feathers, and balloons, will once again need to be permitted through the City's Community Development Department and will need to be consistent with the City's Land Development Code.

  • For the month of January, if signage would have been allowable subject to TUP 03-20 but would constitute a violation of the Longwood Development Code, staff will provide an educational notice to the property/business owner identifying the violation and notifying them that it would be subject to a violation beginning February 1, 2022.
  • Signage that was not covered by TUP 03-20 and would be a violation of the LDC will be issued a notice under the normal code enforcement procedures.
  • For information on allowable signage, please refer to the Longwood Development Code 6.6.0 Temporary Signs.
  • For permitting of temporary signs, please visit the Building Division's webpage
